Now that your planning and branding assets are in place, we'll bring some order to your Onepage account.
In this guide you'll learn how to use the dashboard, create your first project, structure your workspaces with folders and unlock advanced editor features such as Pro mode.
1. Dashboard structure: navigation, projects & folders
The project overview is the heart of your account. To keep track of everything, even when you have multiple websites or client projects, use the built-in folder and navigation structure.
The navigation bar at a glance:
The navigation bar on the left is where you search for projects, customize your templates or manage the editors function.
1. Jump to
Via the "Jump to" tab you can search specifically for your projects, which is especially handy when you manage a lot of projects.
2. Recent
The "Recent" tab shows you the projects you opened most recently first.
3. Shared projects
In the "Shared projects" tab you'll find all the projects you have been invited to by others.
4. Projects
Under "Projects" you'll find all the projects that are currently active in your account.
When you switch to "Archive" there, you get to your archived projects.
5. Templates
To customize your page and project templates, you can use the "Templates" tab.
6. Domains
In the "Domains" tab you can view and manage all connected domains.
7. People
From the Essential plan onwards you can invite other Onepage accounts to your projects. You can see who has access to which projects and assign the corresponding rights to the invited editors.
Creating a new project
Step 1: Log in to Onepage
Sign in to Onepage: Onepage Login
Step 2: Create your first project
After logging in you can create your first project. To do so, go to the "Projects" tab and click the blue "Create project" button.
Step 3: Choose a template
You now have three options: start from scratch, have the website built for you by the Onepage AI, or use one of our templates.
You can of course adjust all the content of a template to your liking. But the basic structure helps you find your bearings.
Step 4: Give your project a name
Whichever option you choose, the next thing you need to do is give your project a name. Pick a name that reflects your project as well as possible.
If your desired name is already taken, you will need to be a little creative.
You can of course change the name later as often as you like.
Using the folder system (for projects & subpages):
To keep things from growing wild, you can organize both your projects on the dashboard and the subpages within a project into folders.
Creating project folders in the dashboard:
If you manage several projects in your Onepage account, for example as an agency working for different clients, it can quickly get confusing. Folders help you bring structure to your project overview. You could, for instance, create a separate folder for each client, or keep internal and external projects apart.
Here we show you how easy it is to create a folder and organize projects inside it:
Step 1: Create a folder
Open your project overview.
Click the folder icon in the top right.
Give your folder a name, e.g. "Customer Müller" or "Internal pages".
Click "Create folder".
Step 2: Move a project into a folder
Move your mouse over the project you want to move.
Click the small three-dot menu (⋯) right on the project.
Select "Move to folder".
Creating page folders within a project:
When a project contains many pages, it can quickly get confusing. That's why you have the option of organizing the pages into folders directly inside the project.
Step 1: Create a folder
Open your project.
Click the folder icon in the top right.
Give your folder a name, e.g. "German version" or "Funnel 1".
Step 2: Move pages into a folder
Move your mouse over the page you want to move.
Click the small three-dot menu (⋯) right on the page.
Select "Move to folder".
2. Activating the new user interface (UI) & Pro mode
For maximum design freedom and a more modern feel while you work, you can unlock advanced features in the editor at any time.
Step 1: Open a page
Open any of your pages, for example your Home page.
Step 2: Open the options icon
Click the options icon at the bottom left of the editor.
Step 3: Activation
Activate "Pro" mode and the New UI (new user interface).
The new user interface (UI)
Onepage's user interface has been completely reworked to give you an even better experience. Particularly worth highlighting are:
Improved performance: Faster loading times and smoother interactions make for frictionless work.
More accurate sizes: Your page is now displayed wider and therefore comes even closer to the real browser experience.
A fresh look: The new UI is not only functional, it also looks appealing, perfect for your creative workflow.
📌 Note: You can switch back to the simplified view at any time without losing your progress. In that case, you simply deactivate the new user interface again.
"Pro" mode
With "Pro" mode you can design your sections flexibly. Here are the main benefits:
1. Add elements and adjust their size
Add elements and adjust your sections exactly the way you imagine them.
2. Create large sections
Build sections that are longer than ever before, ideal for large-scale background images or long forms.
3. Precise spacing editing
Adjust the spacing between elements with 1-pixel precision and achieve a flawless layout.
4. Grid view for perfect alignment
When you move elements, a helpful grid appears that makes navigation and alignment easier.
📌 Note: You can add unlimited rows and always use 5 columns per section, for maximum flexibility when designing your page.
Conclusion & next steps
A clean folder structure in the dashboard saves you an enormous amount of time in your day-to-day work, especially when you look after several client projects or extensive funnels.
And with the new user interface and Pro mode activated, you have unlocked full design freedom to take your sections to the next level.
Now that your account is perfectly organized and prepared, in the next step we'll take a closer look at the editor's user interface.
