Connecting your custom domain to Mailjet ensures your marketing emails and notifications are delivered reliably and professionally. By integrating Mailjet as your custom sender, you can bypass generic mailing addresses and build trust with your audience through a verified domain. This guide will walk you through the essential steps to authenticate your domain and link your Mailjet credentials directly to your Onepage project.

📌 Please note: The following steps and screenshots reflect the tool’s interface at the time this article was created. Interfaces or labels may have changed since then. If you notice any differences, we recommend checking the current instructions in the tool, visiting the provider’s help center, or contacting their support team.

Mailjet preparations

Step 1: Create a Mailjet account.

Click here to create a Mailjet account or here to log in if you already have an account.

Step 2: Open senders and domains settings

Go to Account settings and find the section "Add a domain or sender address".

Step 3: Add your domain

Add your domain here and follow the instructions from Mailjet to validate it.

📌 Please note: You will be instructed to add new DNS records to validate the domain. If your root domain is currently connected via Nameservers to Onepage, you will have to add the records directly at Onepage. See instructions: Modify DNS settings in Onepage

In other cases, the DNS records must be added at your domain provider.

Step 4: Go to API Key Management

Click on "API" and select "API Key Management" in the left menu.

Step 5: Copy primary API key and secret key

Your primary API Key is automatically generated when you create your account. After that, you must click and generate your secret key.

Once you have created the secret key, it will be shown to you only once. Please copy both keys, as you will need them in the next steps.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

What plan do I need?

  • At Onepage you will need the Advanced main plan or higher to use the custom sender feature.

  • Mailjet offers a Free Plan with a limited number of daily and monthly emails. For higher volumes or advanced features, you can check their pricing page.

How do I test if the custom sender is connected?

Create a new email template, select your Mailjet sender in the "From" field, and click the "Send test mail" button in the upper right corner.

Why am I not receiving the emails?

First, check your Spam/Junk folder. If it's not there, ensure you haven't accidentally swapped the API Key and the Secret Key in the Onepage integration settings.
