In this article, we show you how to configure the SEO settings for your website.

All features at a glance

Basic settings in the project – These apply across projects for your entire website.

SEO settings on individual pages – Here you can set individual SEO details per page.

Basic SEO settings in the project

Log in to your project and click on "Settings" at the bottom left. Then go to "SEO" to set the basic settings for your entire project.

Website Name

Enter the name of your company or brand here. This will be displayed next to the favicon and URL in search results and strengthens your brand presence. Then click "Save"

Page Title Pattern

Here you define how the titles of your pages are displayed in search results. By default, the website name and page title are combined automatically, e.g.: {{website_name}} – {{page_title}}

You can customize this pattern if you prefer a different structure. Then click "Save"

Integrationen & Tracking

Google Search Console

Helps you improve your visibility on Google and detect errors

1. Authorize Google Account
Log in with your Google account to connect your tool with Google Search Console. This allows your website to communicate with the Search Console and transmit data such as indexing and your page’s performance. Click "Authorize" and follow Google’s instructions to confirm access.

Once you have successfully connected and submitted your website, you will see that your Google account is authorized. You can also disconnect this connection again, but please note that the features of Google Search Console will no longer be available to you afterward.

2. Add Website to Search Console

After authorization, you can submit your website to the Google Search Console. This will monitor your website and give you insights into visibility and possible issues. In many cases, your domain will be suggested automatically; alternatively, you can enter and verify it manually.

Once you click "Done," the following actions will be available after successful submission:

  • Request indexing - This asks Google to crawl your website and display it in search results. This can help new or updated content appear faster on Google. However, it may still take a few days before the page actually becomes visible in the search results.

  • Submit sitemap - A sitemap helps Google find all the pages of your website in a structured way and index new or updated content more quickly. We recommend submitting a sitemap, so your content can be found more easily and shown faster in search results.

Google Tag Manager

Add the Google Analytics ID or Google Tag Manager to track users on your website.

Information Schema

Structured data is automatically created here for your page so that search engines can better understand your content.

You can choose between Standard (recommended) and Custom if you want to use your own structures. Then click "Save" after changes.

Sitemap

Onepage automatically creates a sitemap for your website so search engines can find and index all pages correctly.

We recommend leaving the setting on Automatic (recommended), unless you need your own sitemap. Then click "Save" after changes.

Robots.txt

Here a robots.txt file is automatically created to tell search engines which pages they are allowed to crawl.

We also recommend the standard setting (recommended), unless you need special rules. Then click "Save" after changes.

LLMs.txt

Here you can define which content AI bots are allowed to read from your site. By default, a file with an overview of your pages is created automatically to help AI systems understand your content. You can choose between Automatic or Custom if you want to restrict or control the content.

2. SEO settings on individual pages

Optimize SEO directly on individual pages!

With the integrated SEO function, you can enter page titles, descriptions, and keywords directly in your editor, structure headings, and add alt texts for better findability and a clean structure of your website.

First open your project, then go to the page for which you want to configure the SEO settings. Click on “Settings” to open the page settings. Now select the “SEO” area to enter or edit the title, description, keywords, and other SEO options for this page.

Primary Information / Preview

First, you will see a live preview of how the page is displayed in search engines. Here you can edit the page title, description, and immediately see how your changes take effect.

Page Title

The page title is one of the most important SEO factors for your website, as it is displayed directly in the search results and plays a key role in whether users click on your page.

Page Description

The description provides a short summary of your page and is displayed under the page title.

Keywords

Enter comma-separated keywords to help search engines better understand the content of your page.

AI-assisted text creation for page titles, descriptions & keywords

You can fill these fields manually. For paid plans, an AI-assisted text creation is also available.

In the background, the system analyzes the page content and automatically creates suitable descriptions in the language set on the website.

Preview Image (Sharing Image)

The image displayed when you share the link to your page on social media.

Select your preview image from the library or upload the desired photo.

Markup

Helps search engines better understand your page by listing all headings (H1–H6).

Here you get an overview of all headings on your page and can directly select which heading level (H1–H6) you want to assign.

This way, you can quickly and clearly adjust the structure of your page without having to search through each heading individually in the editor. Additionally, you immediately see which headings have not yet been assigned an H-heading and can add them directly here to optimally structure your page for search engines.

Alt-Texts

Describe images for screen readers, improve accessibility, and help search engines better classify your content.

Here you also have an overview of all alt texts, see which images already have alt texts, and which images still lack alt texts.

Besides the option to enter alt texts manually, you can also have AI-assisted alt texts created. This saves you time and ensures your images quickly receive appropriate descriptions to improve findability and accessibility of your page.

Frequently Asked Questions and Solution

How can I allow/block my projects/pages for indexing?

You can find this option in the project settings:

And also in the settings of each individual page:

My page has been indexed, but I still see outdated information in Google or

messenger apps. Why?

It may be that your browser is loading outdated search results from the cache. Please try clearing the cache and cookies in your browser or app.

Alt text for my images is not automatically created by AI.

The cause is probably the format of the affected images. Currently, the formats Lottie and SVG are not supported by AI generation.
