Basic SEO settings in the project
Log in to your project and click "Settings" in the top bar. Then go to "SEO" to configure the basic SEO settings for your entire project.
Website name
Enter the name of your company or brand here. It will appear in search results alongside your favicon and URL, helping strengthen your brand presence. Then click "Save".
Page title pattern
Here, you can define how your page titles appear in search results. By default, the website name and the page title are automatically combined, for example: {{website_name}} - {{page_title}}
You can customize this pattern if you prefer a different structure. Then click "Save".
Google Search Console
Helps you improve your visibility on Google and detect errors.
1. Authorize Google Account
Sign in with your Google account to connect your website to Google Search Console. This allows your website to communicate with Search Console and share data such as indexing status and page performance.
To get started, click "Authorize" and follow Google's instructions to confirm access.
Once you have successfully connected and submitted your website, you’ll see that your Google account is authorized. You can disconnect this connection at any time. However, please note that the Google Search Console features will no longer be available to you afterward.
2. Add Website to Search Console
After authorization, you can submit your website to Google Search Console. This allows you to monitor your website and gain insights into its visibility and potential issues. In many cases, your domain will be suggested automatically. Alternatively, you can enter and verify it manually.
Once you click "Done," the following actions will be available after successful submission:
Request indexing: This asks Google to crawl your website and display it in search results. This can help new or updated content appear faster on Google. However, it may still take a few days before the page actually becomes visible in the search results.
Submit sitemap: A sitemap helps Google find all the pages of your website in a structured way and index new or updated content more quickly. We recommend submitting a sitemap, so your content can be found more easily and shown faster in search results.
Google Tag Manager
Add the Google Analytics ID or Google Tag Manager to track users on your website.
Information schema
Structured data is automatically generated for your page here, helping search engines better understand your content.
You can choose between Default (recommended) and Custom if you want to use your own structured data. If you make any changes, click "Save" afterward.
Sitemap
Onepage automatically generates a sitemap for your website, helping search engines discover and correctly index all your pages.
We recommend keeping this setting on Automatic (recommended) unless you need a custom sitemap. If you make any changes, click "Save" afterward.
Robots.txt
A robots.txt file is automatically generated here to tell search engines which pages they are allowed to crawl.
Here, too, we recommend keeping the setting on Standard (recommended) unless you need specific rules. If you make any changes, click "Save" afterward.
LLMs.txt
Here, you can define which content AI bots are allowed to read on your website. By default, a file containing an overview of your pages is automatically generated to help AI systems better understand your content.
You can choose between Automatic and Custom if you want to restrict or control which content is accessible.
SEO settings on individual pages
Optimize SEO directly on individual pages! With the built-in SEO feature, you can enter page titles, descriptions, and keywords directly in your editor, structure headings, and add alt text to improve your website’s discoverability and ensure a clear site structure.
First, open your project and navigate to the page you want to optimize. Click "Settings" to open the page settings. Then select "SEO" to enter or edit the title, description, keywords, and other SEO options for that specific page.
Primary Information/Preview
First, you’ll see a live preview of how your page will appear in search engine results. Here, you can view the page title and description and see how your changes affect the preview.

Landmark structure
The landmark structure helps organize your website semantically, improving both accessibility and search engines’ understanding of your page structure.
For a detailed guide on how to set up the landmark structure in Onepage and assign the appropriate roles to individual sections, check out our help article Accessibility at Onepage.
Markup
Helps search engines better understand your page by listing all headings (H1–H6).
Here you get an overview of all headings on your page and can directly select which heading level (H1–H6) you want to assign.
This way, you can quickly and clearly adjust the structure of your page without having to search through each heading individually in the editor. Additionally, you immediately see which headings have not yet been assigned an H-heading and can add them directly here to optimally structure your page for search engines.
📌 Please note: For AI-generated content, headings may not always be recognized correctly. If this happens, instruct the AI directly in the chat which headings should be designated as H1, H2, H3, and so on.
Alt-texts
Describe images for screen readers, improve accessibility, and help search engines better classify your content.
Here you also have an overview of all alt texts, see which images already have alt texts, and which images still lack alt texts.
In addition to entering alt text manually, you can also use AI to generate alt text. This saves you time and ensures that your images are quickly provided with appropriate descriptions, improving your page’s discoverability and accessibility.
📌 Please note: For AI-generated sections, images may not always be recognized automatically. If this happens, instruct the AI directly in the chat which alt text should be assigned to each image.
