If you have received an email stating that your domain connection has been disconnected, or if the following message appears when you visit your domain:
"Website not found - This website was once active but has since been unpublished or deleted by the owner."
In most cases, this is due to incorrect or incomplete DNS settings.
Possible causes
Cause 1: Entry in DNS settings is missing
A necessary DNS entry has been deleted or is no longer stored correctly.
Cause 2: Conflicting or duplicate DNS entries
There are multiple entries of the same type (e.g., multiple A records) or conflicting information.
Check DNS settings
First, check the domain settings in Onepage to see which connection method you have selected (A record, nameserver, or CNAME).
We recommend the A record method, as it provides the most reliable connection in most cases.
Then check with your domain provider to ensure that the corresponding DNS entries for the selected method are correct and complete.
Connection via A record
To connect your domain via an A record, two DNS entries must be set correctly or checked. The A record for the main domain and the CNAME entry for "www".
Entry 1: A record
Host/Name:
@Type:
AValue:
216.162.200.200TTL:
3600
⚠️ Important: Only one A record may exist.
Entry 2: CNAME
Type:
CNAMEHost/Name:
wwwValue: Your domain (as specified in the Onepage domain settings, for example:
yourdomain.com)
Connection via CNAME
If you have connected a subdomain (e.g., test.yourdomain.com), the connection is made via a CNAME entry. In this case, you must check with your domain provider to ensure that the corresponding CNAME entry is set correctly, or add or adjust it if necessary.
Typ:
CNAMEName: The subdomain name (e.g., "
test")Wert:
whitelabel.onepage.io
Connection via name server
If you have connected your domain using the name server method, please check with your domain provider to ensure that the stored name servers are set correctly.
ns1.onepage.ions2.onepage.io
If they are missing or incorrect, adjust them accordingly or add the correct name servers.
Common mistakes
Multiple A records: Only one A record should be present. Remove any others that do not originate from Onepage.
AAAA entry (IPv6): If an AAAA entry exists, it should be deleted as it can interfere with the connection.
Old entries: Outdated or no longer needed entries may still be active and cause problems.
Deleted entries: Sometimes necessary entries have been accidentally removed; these must be added back correctly.
After correction
After you have adjusted the DNS entries:
Disconnect the domain in your account.
Then reconnect it.
This will trigger SSL generation again.
Your website will usually be republished within 48 hours (depending on DNS propagation).
📌 Note: If you disconnect your domain and use the nameserver method, please check beforehand whether additional DNS entries have been set.
These must be added again after reconnecting so that your website functions correctly.
