When creating or editing websites, it's easy to accidentally delete content or make unintended changes.
That's where practical features come in, allowing you to quickly undo changes and restore previous versions of your site at any time.
Undo changes
If you want to undo a change, use the undo arrow. It's located in the bottom left corner of the editor's toolbar. Clicking this arrow allows you to instantly restore accidentally deleted text or sections, for example.
If you preferred the previous change, you can also take a step forward again.
📌 Please note: If the undo arrow is grayed out, it means that no further changes can be undone.
This often happens if you reload the page or leave the site; in these cases, the undo function is no longer available.
Version history (restore previous versions)
The Version history automatically saves different versions of your website. This is especially helpful if you want to restore an older version or check how the site looked at an earlier time.
Step 1: Activate New UI
If you haven't already done so, activate the New UI (new user interface) in your project to be able to view the version history.
Step 2: Open version history
Click on the icon that looks like a rotating arrow in the left sidebar.
There you'll see a complete list of all saved versions. Every time you publish a page or generate one with AI, it's saved in your history, along with your current version.
Step 3: Open preview
Click on the desired version to open a preview.
Step 4: Restore version
Once you have selected the desired version and wish to restore it, click "Restore".
After the restore, the page will be automatically updated to the current state and you can subsequently publish it via the "Update" button.
📌 Please note: If you've made changes to your project's design settings, such as colors or font pairings, these adjustments won't be reflected in older versions.
The version history only shows the page content at a given point in time, not global design changes that affect the entire project.
Versions per plan
Depending on your active main plan, saving multiple versions per page is already included. So you don't need to book anything extra, the feature is included directly in the plan.
Main plan | Versions per page |
Free | 5 |
Essential | 15 |
Standard | 30 |
Advanced | 50 |
Expert | 50 |
Once the limit is reached, the oldest version is automatically deleted, so there is always room for new versions.
📌 Please note: If you downgrade your plan, the new limit will only apply from the next saved version onwards. Previously saved versions will remain.
