📌 Please note: The following steps and screenshots are based on the version of the tool at the time this article was created. The user interface or terminology may have changed since then.

If you notice any differences, we recommend checking the latest instructions within the tool, consulting the provider’s help center, or contacting the provider’s support.

Step 1: Open Onepage domain settings

Go to "Settings" → "Domain settings".

Step 2: Add Domain

Please add your subdomain without "www".
For example: offer.yoursite.com

Then click on "Next Step".

⚠️ Important: Most domain providers do not allow connecting the main domain without a subdomain (e.g., "offer") via CNAME.

If you want to use your domain without a subdomain, we recommend using the A-Record method.

Step 3: Copy the Correct Values

Here you will see an overview of the required values. Please copy them.

Step 4: Log in to Ionos

Open Ionos, log in, and go to the "Domains & SSL" menu.

Step 5: Open DNS Settings

Find your domain and click on "Aktionen" → "DNS".

Step 6: Click on "Record hinzufügen"

Click on "Record hinzufügen" to select the DNS record.

Step 7: Select CNAME

Choose the "CNAME" DNS record.

Step 8: Configure and Save the Record

Please set the record as follows:

  • Typ: CNAME

  • Hostname: e.g., offer

  • Zeigt auf: whitelabel.onepage.io

  • TTL: 1 Stunde (or keep the default value)

Then click on "Save".

🎉 The connection between Onepage and Ionos is now set up! 🎉

⚠️ Important: The domain connection can take several hours (up to 48 hours in rare cases). Therefore, it’s possible that the domain may not work immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I have set everything up according to the instructions, but the domain still isn’t working. What could be the reason?

Establishing the domain connection can take some time. Please wait a few hours for the DNS changes to fully propagate.

Also, make sure that the subdomain is correctly entered in Onepage, without this step, the connection cannot be successfully established.

Do I need to purchase the SSL certificate separately?

No, the SSL certificate is already included in your payment plan and is automatically generated by Onepage. There is no need to purchase it separately from your domain provider.
