Project overview & navigation within a project (Beta)

In this article, you'll learn how to find your way around the new project overview and which features are available to you within an individual project.

Written by Vanessa Haack

With the new interface, you can now find your projects and the most important areas centrally in one place. In this article, we show you how the new navigation is structured and where to find the most important features.

📌 Please note: The interface is currently in beta. Some areas may therefore still change. Your existing projects and content will be retained.

The project overview

The project overview is your central hub for managing and organizing all your projects. Here you can create projects and folders, move projects, sort your projects, and quickly access important areas such as favorites, recently used, or archived projects.

1. The sidebar

On the left-hand side, you'll find the most important areas of your project overview:

  • All projects

  • Templates

  • Favorites

  • Recent

  • Shared with me

  • Archive

  • your personal folder structure

Use "Collapse all" and "Expand all" to keep your folder structure neatly organized.

2. Organizing projects and folders

You can organize your projects in folders and subfolders to create a clear structure for your projects. Each folder can contain multiple projects.

For example: Customers → Customer A → Websites

The "Websites" folder can then contain multiple projects, e.g. "Website Redesign", "Summer Campaign Landing Page" or "Company Website".

This way, you can structure your projects by customers, topics, or other criteria, for example. Folders can be nested up to five levels deep.

How to create a folder structure:

Step 1: Add a folder

In the sidebar, click "+ Add folder" or click the folder icon directly in the overview, and give the folder a name.

Step 2: Create subfolders

Click the folder you created and create subfolders inside it, for example for each of your clients. To do this, click the folder icon (New folder) in the top right.

Step 3: Create more subfolders

Within these folders, you can create further subfolders in the same way and build the structure you want.

This is what your folder structure could look like, for example. Of course, you can extend it with more folders and subfolders at any time, up to a depth of five levels.

Once your folder structure is ready, you can assign your existing projects to the appropriate folders.

Click the three dots (⋯) on the project you want and select "Move to folder". Then choose the folder you want.

This way, you can organize your projects clearly by clients, topics, or other criteria and find them again quickly at any time.

3. Grid and list view

You can display your projects either as a grid or as a list.

In the display settings, you can also set:

  • the size of the projects (small, medium, or large)

  • the sorting

  • ascending or descending order

  • whether pinned projects are shown first

For example, you can sort by date modified, date created, date published, or alphabetically.

4. Moving projects via drag & drop

Projects and folders can easily be moved manually via drag & drop.

If you drag a project over a folder, you can move it into that folder.

You can manually adjust the order of your projects both in the project overview and within a folder.

📌 Please note: The manual order is saved for the folder owner and is then also visible to other people who open the folder.

5. Favorites and pinned projects

You can add projects to your favorites to find them again more quickly.

To do this, click the three dots on the project you want and select "Add to favorites". Favorites are personal and are only shown to you. You'll then find your favorite projects in the sidebar under "Favorites".

Pinned projects are different. You can have these shown with priority when sorting, so that they always appear first.

To pin a project, click the three dots on the project you want and select "Pin project". Then, under Sorting, select the option "Pinned first". Pinned projects will then be shown before the other projects.

📌 Please note: Only projects can be pinned.

6. Searching for projects

Use the search in the left-hand navigation to quickly search for projects and folders.

If you are inside a folder, the search covers this folder and its subfolders by default. Use "Search your projects" to extend the search to all projects.

You can also filter specifically by the following areas:

  • All

  • Projects

  • Folders

  • Shared

  • Archive

  • Domains

The search also takes partial names into account and is not case-sensitive. However, typos are not corrected automatically.

7. Project preview

You can set a custom preview for each project.

To do this, you can either:

  • upload your own image (PNG, JPG or WebP up to 10 MB),

  • create a current screenshot of the home page, or

  • return to the default preview.

You'll find the settings under:

Project settings → General → Project preview

If a project doesn't have a screenshot (preview) yet, you can create one directly via "Update screen".

8. Archiving projects

You can archive projects that you don't currently need.

Among other things, this will:

  • take your project offline

  • remove access for members and

  • stop Conversion API events

To archive a project, click the three dots (⋯) on the project and select "Archive".

You can restore an archived project or delete it permanently at any time. To do this, hover over the project and select either "Unarchive" or "Delete".

"Unarchive" moves the project back to your regular projects. If you select "Delete", the project is deleted permanently and irreversibly.

📌 Please note: Archived projects do not count towards your plan’s project limit, provided they remained archived for the entire billing period.

9. Project transfer

You can transfer a project to another Onepage account.

To do this, click the three dots on the project you want and select "Transfer ownership". Then enter the email address of the new owner. This must belong to an already registered Onepage account.

You'll receive a confirmation email. The transfer is completed as soon as you click the link it contains.

  • Transfer in progress: As long as the transfer has not yet been confirmed, the project shows the label "Transfer in progress". Use "Cancel transfer" to cancel the pending transfer.

  • Check project and plan limits: The transfer will fail if the destination account has already reached a limit of its current plan or if the transfer would cause any of the plan limits to be exceeded (e.g. transferring a project with a custom domain to a Free account).

Inside a project

When you open a project, various areas are available to you for managing your pages, emails, leads, data, analytics, and settings.

At the top of the project, you'll find the following areas:
Pages · Emails · Leads · Data · Analytics · Settings

Depending on the project and the features enabled, individual areas may be hidden.

1. Pages

Under "Pages", you'll find all the pages of your project. In the sidebar, you can switch between the following areas:

  • All pages

  • Recent

  • Archive

Use "Add folder" to create new folders. For pages, there is only one folder level; subfolders within page folders are not possible.

You can display your pages either in grid view or in list view. You can also set the card size to small, medium, or large. In addition, you can sort your pages by date created, last modified, or alphabetically.

If a page is currently being edited by someone else, you'll also see who is currently editing the page. As the owner, you can take over editing if needed via "Force unlock".

2. Emails

Under "Emails", you'll find your email templates and settings for custom senders.

In the sidebar, you can switch between the following areas:

  • All templates

  • Archive

  • Custom sender

Via a template's menu, you can duplicate or archive it.

You can bring back archived templates in the "Archive" tab via "Restore".

📌 Please note: Email templates cannot be deleted permanently.

Under "+ Add Custom sender", you can set up your own email delivery. Supported services are Mailchimp, SendGrid, Mailjet, Brevo and Mailgun.

3. Leads

In the "Leads" area, you can manage the leads collected through your forms.

Here you'll find, among other things:

  • all forms,

  • your lists and

  • the individual entries.

When you select a form, you can also open the associated entries directly.

4. Data

Under "Data", you'll find your project's CMS. Here you can manage and edit your existing CMS content.

If you haven't set up a CMS yet, you can create a collection here.

You can find out more in the following articles:

5. Analytics

Under "Analytics", you can evaluate your project's performance.

In the sidebar, you'll find "All pages" as well as the individual pages of your project. This lets you view the analytics data for the entire project or for a specific page.

This includes:

  • an overview of your data

  • the trend over time

  • traffic sources

  • countries

  • cities

  • devices used and

  • various time periods

You can display the trend over time as a line chart, a bar chart, or a table.

If you want to delete your analytics data completely, you can use the "Clear Analytics Data" function. To confirm, you need to enter "I want to delete all data" .

📌 Please note: Analytics are only displayed if Onepage Analytics has been enabled under Settings → Integrations. Analytics data cannot be collected or displayed retroactively.

6. Settings

Under "Settings", you'll find the most important settings for your project.

These include:

  • General: Project title, description, favicon, home page, 404 page, language, and other project settings.

  • Domain settings: Edit your Onepage.me domain and connect your own domain.

  • Redirects: Set up 301 and 302 redirects.

  • Integrations: Connect external services such as Google Tag, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, Google Maps, reCAPTCHA, and Onepage Analytics.

  • SEO: Manage SEO settings, tracking integrations, information schema, accessibility, sitemap, Robots.txt, and LLMs.txt.

  • Password protection: Protect individual pages or the entire project with a password.

  • Custom Code: Add your own code for the project's head, body, and styles.

  • Cookie banner: Set up and configure a cookie banner.

  • Collaboration: Invite other people to the project.

  • Template settings: Define the title, description, etc. of a template.

  • Site description: Provide information about the topic, niche, and purpose of the website.

Each of these areas has its own settings page.

📌 Please note: Even though the navigation and structure have changed, certain previous links still work. They automatically redirect to the new areas, for example:

  • /statistic → Analytics

  • /mailer → Emails

  • /cms → Data

  • Old CRM links → Leads

You can therefore continue to use existing links.
